Stride Analysis

Our Stride Analysis uses the Optogait system to measure how your foot interacts with the ground/treadmill. After completion of this analysis you will receive a printed report that details your inefficiencies in your stride. Information from this test will help direct a plan for improving your running efficiency, injury resilience, and performance.

Our stride analysis gives you the choice of being tested at either:

  1. Two different paces. Getting tested at two different paces will allow us to see if your stride changes for good or bad when running at a faster pace.

  2. Same pace wearing two different shoes. Getting tested while wearing two different shoes will allow us to see if your stride is negatively or positively impacted by your running shoes.

The stride analysis provides data on:

  • stride length

  • step length

  • step position

  • foot strike type

  • ground contact time

  • flight time

  • stance time

  • propulsion time

You will receive the results and an explanation* of the stride analysis immediately following testing.
