Dr. Ryan Embley, PT, DPT, OCS, CMPT
Dr. Ryan Embley PT, DPT, OCS, CMPT, ATC earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Brigham Young University in 2011 and worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer before attending physical therapy school. Throughout his undergraduate studies he served Division I athletes in cross country, men’s basketball, men’s volleyball, baseball, and football. Ryan received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University in 2016 and has since served individuals with varying orthopedic conditions. Since 2016, he has received additional certifications in manual therapy, bike fitting, vestibular rehabilitation, Astym, functional movement, and he continually pushes himself to learn new rehabilitation techniques. In 2019, after completing a two-year residency program, Ryan became recognized as a Board-Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
Ryan has a passion for assessing functional movement patterns and applying manual therapy techniques to effectively address the source of orthopedic injuries. His specific interests include evaluating and treating running-related injuries. In 2021, he was selected to serve on the medical staff for the USATF Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. He enjoys compassionately assisting clients in attaining their functional goals.
During his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys being active in endurance sports, including running, cycling, and soccer, among others. He has completed multiple triathlons and is always looking for ways to push his endurance limits in his next big race. Other hobbies include woodworking and kayaking.
